Goddess Medusa, protection (smoked chocolates)

One of the most famous figures in Greek mythology and featured in many films and books today. Often portrayed as a monster/behemoth that petrifies any living creature that comes too close. This is far from the original energy of this "goddess" and has simply been misrepresented too often (the game of telephone). Medusa is not about how she got her appearance, but rather what she really represents. She is a strong protective goddess.

The head of Medusa (Gorgoneion) was worn around the neck as a defensive and protective symbol, similar to a Nazar amulet. She also protected/guarded the golden apple in Hera's garden. She is a snake goddess. Be it the snakes on her head or the rest of her appearance; they show aspects of an earth goddess, life and death, the cycle of life. Her blood was so powerful that Asclepius (Apollo's son and god of healing) could revive the dead with a drop of it. The snakes on the head also strongly symbolize the aspect of self-protection and self-healing.
